After being dragged along to the cinema by my best friend over the weekend, in order to show my respects to the late and great Heath Ledger in his last ever blockbuster, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, I’ll be the first to admit I was heavily disappointed.
Not even token appearances by Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell could save this train wreck which, in all honesty, should never have been released on the Big Screen. We’ll all have to use our ‘imaginations’ and pretend that Batman was Ledger’s last endeavour.
The only slightly redeeming feature in this…feature, was Lily Cole’s terrifically ethereal costumes. She looked undoubtedly stunning in the film as Valentina, a fairy-like dancer at Doctor Parnassus’ great travelling circus.
Girls just need to ask now, when will she be releasing her own line in TopShop.
